The application window is now open for the Duo Sweden Fellowship program for the session 2024-25. Sweden’s educational institutes in collaboration with Asian institutes offer exchange programs to students. The fellowship is for students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate and Graduate degree programs. The aim of the program is to promote exchange between the students of Sweden and Asia.
The DUO Sweden 2024 will start accepting applications from 8th April 2024 which will last till May 21, 2024. Students Male/Female belonging to eligible Asian countries are encouraged to apply. The duration of the fellowship is one semester of 4 months whatever comes first. The program will commence in August 2024 and will end in September 2025

About DUO Sweden Fellowship
The Duo Sweden Fellowship was launched in 2010 in order to promote the exchange between the students of Sweden and Asia. The fellowship is offered to students belonging from 21 Asian countries. The DUO Fellowship is offered once a year.

Fellowship Duration:
The duration of the fellowship is one semester, will start in August 2024, and last till September 2025.
Eligible Countries:
Applicants belonging to the following countries are eligible for DUO-Sweden:
China, Mongolia, Laos, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, Russia, Philippines, Cambodia.
Who Can Apply?
- Students belonging to the above-mentioned countries can apply.
- Students enrolled in Undergraduate & Master’s degree programs.
- Fellowship is granted to students who are enrolled in a full-time degree program, i.e., 30 ECTS credits per semester are necessary.
- Your home institute should have made a cooperative agreement with an educational institute in Sweden.
- If you’re an EU national student studying at the home institution (Sweden) and have been selected by the host university (Asia) to be sent there as per the acknowledgment from the Asian Institute.
Fellowship Grants:
- Grants for students from high-income countries:
- Asian Students: 3,500 Euros
- Swedish Students: 3,500 Euros
- Grants for students from middle and low-income countries:
- Asian Students: 4,000 Euros
- Swedish Students: 3,000 Euros
The grants are directly transferred by the secretariat to the bank accounts of the selected fellows.

How to Apply?
The application process is completely online.
Follow the steps mentioned below:
- To sign up fill up your application form, simply enter your credentials (ID and password) there.
- If you’re applying from a home institution, you must fill out the whole application consisting of the information of the host institution.
- Download the PDF form from the Website of ASEM-DUO from the forms banner.
- By clicking the “submit” button, your application will be submitted successfully.
5. After the submission of the application, students from the home institution will get a confirmation email within 3 days.
