Through specialized courses, adventurous trips, and entertaining activities in the most well-liked tourist destinations in South Korea, KGIP aims to bring many international and Korean students together.

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the KDU Global Immersion Program, take care of the following eligibility pointers:
- Students must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program at any recognized university or college.
- You must have a maximum age of 35 years old.
- Students must own historical records of academic achievement.
- Fulfill all the requirements for a D-2-8 (short-term study) visa.
- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health.
Documentation Requirement:
- Fill out the online Application Form and submit a Statement of Interest as well.
- Copy of Passport.
- Certificate of Enrollment (Current University).
- Academic Transcript (Current University).
- Submit a copy of the High School Graduation Certificate/Diploma.
- Passport Size Photo.
Please Note That:
- If any document was issued in a language other than English at first, it must be translated into that language and notarized.
- The copy of the passport, certificate of enrollment, academic transcript, and high school graduation certificate must be scanned in the specified order and merged into a single PDF file.
- Upload this PDF file into the web application with the new name “Country LastName.”
- To successfully submit and proceed with the application to the screening stage, provide complete and valid documents as per requirement.
- Each student may only submit one application.
Important Information About Visa:
All international students who get successful admission to the KDU Global Immersion Program should get a D-2-8 (Visiting Student) visa. This D-2-8 visa is a single-entry visa, which is issued before the start of the KGIP in 2024.
D-2-8 visa holders cannot engage in any income-earning activities, including part-time occupations, in compliance with South Korea’s Immigration Law Articles 94 and 95.
The following lists the standard prerequisites for applying for a D-2-8 visa:
- Application for a Visa from the South Korean Embassy near you.
- A valid passport and a photocopy thereof, valid for the duration of the visit to Korea.
- A recent six-month-old 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm white background photo.
- The admissions certificate, which KDU Global will issue.
- Scholarship Certificate by KDU Global.
- A copy of the business registration certificate.
- Academic Transcript and Enrollment Certificate from present university.
- Academic Transcript and High School Graduation Certificate or Diploma.
The eligible candidate for KGIP 2024 will receive a Certificate of Admission valid for the duration of the program, including Session I and Session II, from July 15, 2024, to December 13, 2024.
Health Related Concerns:
All the enrolled international students in KGIP2024 must have health insurance during the program. Before visiting Korea, participants are required to have a valid international health insurance policy in their home countries.
In addition, during their time in Korea, students are solely responsible for paying for any medical care they may require.
After receiving an Alien Registration Card (ARC) in Korea, participants in KGIP 2024 Session II may additionally enroll in National Health Insurance (NHI) or Private Health Insurance (PHI) packages as international students studying in Korea.
However, it may take up to six weeks for local immigration authorities to process the ARCs after the participants’ arrival date.

Benefits of KGIP:
- After qualifying for the screening test, students have to pay a $250 (one-time) admission fee.
- For those applicants who are accepted as “Early Birds,” the entry fee is $180.
- For the duration of the program, the KDU Global Scholarship pays for the full cost of tuition.
- It also pays for the on-campus dorm fee.
- A continental breakfast type will be covered for Session 1 students.
- The transportation expenses for field trips, tours, and extracurricular activities will be covered.
- Participants are responsible for covering their own travel costs to and from Korea.
- Additional personal and subsistence costs, health insurance, and transportation costs between Incheon International Airport and KDU Global will not be covered.
Accommodation Facility:
- All the students coming from international countries, including Korea, will reside in dorms provided by the campus.
- Each dorm has its own bathroom and toilet.
- Every dorm has a space to accommodate at least four students, which will be shared by Korean and International students.
- Male and Female students will live on separate floors with private laundry and private lounges.
- The KDU Global dorm buildings have communal cooking and dining areas and individual and group study spaces.
- There are vending machines, ATMs, and a convenience store.
- There are sports and exercise, both indoors and outdoors, in certain buildings and locations.
