Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship 2025 (Application Window 2 Opens)

We are here with another exciting scholarship announcement – Application window 2 is now open for the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship 2025. A fully funded scholarship by the World Bank offered to the citizens of developing countries to pursue full-time master’s degree programs in multiple participating higher education institutes located in the United States, Oceania, Japan, Africa, and Europe. A total of 24 universities with over 41 Master’s degree programs in key areas of economic policy management, tax policy, development, and infrastructure management are offered under this program.

Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate scholarship program since its inception has offered over 7000 scholarships to students and researchers who are now contributing to their communities and positively impacting future generations. The application window for round 2 is (25th March – 23rd May, 2025). Candidates belonging to developing countries must submit their application within the mentioned window.

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates need to be admitted unconditionally to one of these 41 participating master’s degree programs, without an offer letter you are not eligible for the JJ/WBGSP scholarship 2025. The scholarship offers comprehensive support to the scholars covering Tuition Fees, Monthly Living Stipend, Health Insurance, Travel Allowance, and Round Trip Airfare with other perks and benefits. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the World Bank Graduate scholarship must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Citizens of developing countries are invited to submit the applications
  • Candidates holding dual nationality from any developed country are not eligible
  • Must be in good health to attend the degree program
  • Receive unconditional admission to one of the participating institute
  • The letter of admission needs to be uploaded before the scholarship application
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Candidates must have completed their degree 3 years before the application deadline
  • Applicants who have previously received the scholarship but didn’t avail or those who have not graduated cannot apply again

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship provides support of:

  • Round-trip air travel ticket
  • Tuition fee coverage of graduate degree program
  • Medical insurance
  • Monthly allowance to cover living expenses including Accommodation, food, and books

The program does not provide support for:

  • Visa Application
  • Family support
  • Extra courses or training
  • Language training
  • Additional traveling costs
  • Resident permit fee
