JJWBGSP scholarships offer 53 Master’s Programs in 27 different institutes in Oceania, Japan, Africa, Europe, and the US. Who is Eligible to Apply?

  • The nationals of developing countries should be members of the World Bank as per the mentioned countries above.
  • Candidates should be in good health to apply for the Japan World Bank scholarship program. 
  • You should have a bachelor’s degree or comparable at least three years before the program’s deadline.
  • Should have working experience for 3 years or more in development following the completion of a bachelor’s or comparable degree.
  • Should have a full-time, paid job relevant to development at the time the scholarship application is submitted.
  • Be admitted to at least one of the JJ/WBGSP participating master’s programs, which are situated outside of the applicant’s country of citizenship. Also, it should be located at the place of residence specified at the time the call for scholarship applications opens for the upcoming academic year on or before the deadline for scholarship applications.
  • The candidate should not work for the World Bank Group as an Executive Director, his or her alternate, or staff member, nor be a close family member of any of the above-mentioned by blood or adoption, with “close relative” meaning mother, father, sister, half-sister, brother, half-brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.
  • There would be no reapplication for those who have previously been given a JJWBGSP scholarship but turned it down or have previously been awarded a scholarship but did not complete their education.

  • Airfare Cost: Candidates will receive a US $600 travel allowance for each trip, which covers lodging.
  • Health insurance: The price of the university-provided basic health insurance is covered.
  • Allowances: Receive a monthly stipend that will support your living expenses, such as housing, food, and books.
