The University of Tennessee Knoxville USA, is accepting applications for the assistant professor position in the Molecular Microbiology department. Applicants holding a PhD degree with a minimum 2 years of research or teaching experience in the area of Molecular biology are eligible to apply for this 9-month tenure track position starting from August 1, 2025.

The candidates must have a good record of research contributions, scientific advancements, and publications. The department shall give extra consideration to the candidates  with strong  experimental  approach in any of the research areas of microbial pathogenesis and microbial ecology.

While working alongside other faculty members at UTK, the appointed candidates shall formulate a research program in the research areas of Gene expression and regulations, genetic defense strategies, Microbial species, and microbial systems to contribute to the training and teaching of students at undergraduate and graduate level.
