Well then wait no more as applications are now open to apply for the Swiss Summer Student Program 2025, the summer program organized by the top 5 renowned institutes, ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, the University of Geneva, the EPFL, and the University of BERN supported by the Swiss Institute of Particle Physics and Swiss Academy of science provides an opportunity to international students to work on detector development and data analysis in particle physics. The selected participants under this program will spend 9 weeks in the University of Geneva, ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, EPFL, and the University of Bern.
The summer program in Switzerland is inviting applications from students enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master’s degree program who are pursuing their degree in the areas of Applied Physics, Physics, Medical Physics, Engineering, Computer science, and other related fields. Each student will be assigned a supervisor who will provide guidance and support during the program. The summer program will take place from July 14 – September 2025. At the end of the program, all the students will present their work to the committee.
The program offers a comprehensive support covering travel expenses, visa expenses, health insurance, and much more, students from underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply. Eligibility Criteria
- Swiss summer program is accepting applications from all nationals
- Students in Bachelor’s, Master’s degrees in the areas of Physics, Medical Physics, Computing Science, Engineering, Applied Physics, and Material Science are eligible
- The program is not accepting applications from PhD students
- Have an excellent average score throughout the degree program
Program Coverage
- The summer program offers the following support to the participants

How to Apply for Swiss Summer Student Program in Particle Physics?
Students fulfilling the required criteria for the summer program need to submit an online application via the S3P3 Application portal. Fill out the complete online application and attach all the required documents. The outcome of the result will be announced by the end of April 2025.
