Want an immersive experience in Korea through a fully funded bootcamp? If so, applications are open for the World Bank GovTech AI Bootcamp 2026. This fully funded bootcamp in South Korea, organized by the World Bank Group in partnership with the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and the National Information Society Agency (NIA), invites applications from government institutions in low- and middle-income countries that are working on AI solutions in governance and public administration. It’s a 5-day bootcamp that will run from December 7th to 11th, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea. Selected participants will receive international travel coverage, accommodation, and more. About World Bank GOVTech AI Bootcamp 2026
It’s a 5-day immersive bootcamp designed for government institutions that are testing or developing AI solutions to address public-sector challenges. Selected participants will travel to Korea to learn from government technology experts in AI across taxation, social welfare, or government services.
The bootcamp aims to help governments move from an AI idea to practical implementation. During the bootcamp, selected teams will learn from Korean public-sector practitioners and World Bank experts, participate in technical workshops and site visits, and develop a realistic roadmap for their AI initiative.

Who can Apply?
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible.
- Applications from government agencies in low- and middle-income countries.
- The institutions must be developing, piloting, or deploying AI solutions for public-sector problems.
- Eligible areas include:
- Public financial management, civil service and human resource management, citizen services, civic technology, citizen engagement, public procurement, anti-corruption, transparency, public administration, and other government applications of AI.
- Fluency in English.
- An AI project must not be fully deployed; it must be in the pilot or deployment stage.
Team Requirements
Each team must consist of two people:
Policy Leader
- A senior government official with the decision-making authority over AI initiatives
2. Technical Practitioner
- A person involved in developing, designing, or implementing the AI solution
The two team members can come from different government sectors as long as they are working on the same AI initiative
