Harvard Lead Fellowship 2027-28 in United States (Fully Funded)

Applications are open for the Harvard Lead Fellowship 2027-28, which promotes women in global health. It is a fully funded fellowship program offered by the Harvard Global Health Institute in collaboration with the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. It’s a yearlong fellowship program designed exclusively for global health professionals from low- and middle-income countries who want to enhance their leadership skills, learn from the Harvard community, and make an impact in their communities.

The fellowship will run from September 1, 2027, to August 31, 2028, featuring virtual activities and a six-week in-person experience in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in April 2028. Selected fellows will receive a living stipend, visa fees, flights, and housing for the in-person stay in the USA. No application fee is required. The application deadline is November 15, 2026. Who can Apply?

  • Must hold a master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Have at least 10 years of professional work experience
  • Demonstrate leadership experience
  • Able to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States
  • Be available in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for six weeks in April 2028.
  • Based in a low- or middle-income country and working full-time
